| The
geological upheaval of the Miocene Period has created
a very special terroir, which is reflected in the characteristics
of the wines. The marly-calcareous topsoil lies on a
stratum of crystalline gypsum rock.
This land structure led to an excellent
water balance and, at the same time, is the main reason
for the uniqueness of Villa Terlina’s wines: well-structured,
mineral, elegant and with a wide range of flavours and
aromas.
